The last time there, we led a lot of laps early and circumstances took us out of it at the end ... At one point we were 29th, but we were fortunate enough to get back up to where we needed to be. This is a race track where I think we can get a good run going and help keep us locked in the top 12.

It was awesome. I didn't want it to end ... I wanted it to stay green all day long. I passed the eventual race winner twice and drove away from him each time. Then, when it came time to get it done at the end, they dusted us. They made better adjustments and did a better job with their opportunities. It...

I think those kids need a little time in the sun -- a little bit more than they're probably seeing ... It seems like it is becoming the norm to have Cup drivers winning all the races. That's not necessarily fair for those kids. I think they need some opportunities to showcase their talents all by themse...
This has been a great place for us, I wanted to be behind (Clint Bowyer) because it was working pretty good for us. I want some of that pavement from the start/finish line.
It gave me the opportunity to showcase my talents next to the best drivers in the world -- the Cup drivers ... When I was able to run equally as good, or maybe beat them every now and then, it gave Richard Childress what he needed to see to give me an opportunity. I owe a lot to that.
That really wasn’t the situation that we wanted to be in. I wanted to be behind him (Clint Bowyer) and be able to push him because it was working pretty good for us. Then that caution came out and we had to split up because of the double-file restarts. But, I helped him as much as I could and we got spl...

It’s been a while since we’ve finished one of these races ... I got some good runs there at the end and I was trying to push Clint Bowyer. I don’t know if he was riding the brakes or what was going on with him. Finally I said, ‘We’ve got to go; you’re killing me’. I got a run around him and got up to Ka...
I don't think you can survive without them ... I think that is what attracts the fans, the attention, the sponsors. But at the end of the day that series is a support series. It is a stepping-stone for younger drivers like me, and every other driver that came through the ranks of the Nationwide Series a...
Coming to the white I thought it was going to be the 33 (Clint Bowyer) first and us second, and then the caution came out and we could see the white flag
The Chase is going to be every bit as exciting as the regular season has been and then some ... I think the competition is as close as it has ever been. You're not seeing Jimmie (Johnson) go on a 10-race span of top fives and half of them wins.

My most memorable moment at New Hampshire Motor Speedway is obviously winning my first career Cup race there in 2007
We've been strong on the big tracks
Indy definitely hasn't been kind to us since 2006 ... We've struggled a little bit to have as good of a car as we did when we finished fourth there. For it being our first race there, it was pretty incredible. It's been rough since then, but our cars have been running well this year.
It's such an important race ... You bring a car to the Daytona 500 that you've massaged and prepared all winter long. For Indy, there's definitely a car that has been built that's the best we've had. Indy is a race track where you bring one of your best pieces.

Racing Late Models coming up through my career … if I wrecked somebody on the restart like that, they come back and crash me exactly like that. It was pretty much tit for tat
This [fourth place] is exactly what we needed to do. We need to string together a bunch of these and we’ll find ourselves in the Chase and have a shot at this championship
We unloaded a good car and that’s exactly what we have got to do to get ourselves back in this Chase hunt
Oh, it carried on for a couple of days ... I haven’t been that upset in a while. I was so frustrated. I hated it for these guys (his crew). They work so hard on these cars and we were so close. I wanted to be able to do that for them.
Eight races seems like a lot, but I’ll tell you it’s not much ... As good as the drivers and the teams are in front of us that we’re going to have to beat out of that thing, you don’t just knock out 100 points, 200 points a race. You’re going to have to chisel away at it — maybe 10, maybe 20 (points) at...
What do you do? There's nothing you can do about it ... You've just got to get back up on the horse and make it happen. I feel like Chicago's a good racetrack for me. Looking forward to going to Indy. I'm looking forward to these eight races. This is a challenge, and it's a challenge for all of us, and ...
